Compare auto insurance

Auto rates vary a lot between insurers for the same driver. Comparing like for like is the fastest way to see the difference.
What to compare
- Liability limits: the most you’re covered for if you injure someone or damage property.
- Collision and comprehensive: covering your own car, and the deductible you choose for each.
- Accident benefits or personal injury protection, where your province or state requires them.
- Add-ons: rental car, roadside help, accident forgiveness, new-vehicle replacement.
Questions to ask any insurer or broker
- What discounts do I qualify for, and do any of them expire?
- How would one at-fault claim change my premium?
- Is the rental car limit per day or per claim?
